Questions to Ask Before Choosing an ABA Provider

Before choosing an ABA provider, ask about (1) who will work directly with your child and their credentials, (2) if they offer multidisciplinary (BCBA, SLP, OT) services or if it is ABA only, (3) how treatment plans are built and progress is measured, (4) if they have availability to intake another client (5) what insurances they contract with and if they do Medicaid billing (6) where services are offered (in-home or in-clinic), and (7) what is their process for  recommending treatment hours and treatment locations (hint: this should be based on your child’s assessment results).
